Josie is a multimedia and interdisciplinary artist based in North Vancouver and originally from the small town of Keremeos. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from University of British Columbia Okanagan in 2023, graduating at the top of her class with a major in Visual Arts while also developing extensive knowledge in theatre studies and performance-based practices.
Her work has been exhibited in multiple UBCO exhibitions, showcased at the Rotary Centre for the Arts, and sold and featured in local venues throughout her hometown. Passionate about research, experimentation, and exploration, Josie works across painting, sculpture, drawing, colour studies, realism, expressionism, performance, and mental health and well-being related art practices.
Driven by curiosity and storytelling, Josie is not limited to one form of creation. She finds inspiration through personal growth and change, everyday life, emotions, materials, and human connection, using art as a way to explore meaning, emotion, and the shared experiences that connect individuals both within and beyond the art world.
